Money is nice. It is helpful to have some, and even better to have ‘enough’. But time is far more valuable and precious to me anymore. It is harder to obtain than money, and frequently easier to waste. Many times I catch myself thinking, “if I only had more time…”
These are some of the projects I would love to do when I find more time:
1.) T-shirt Latch Hook Rug
I found this on Xoelle’s blog. She provides an amazing tutorial on how to make your own. I can already imagine how soft and squishy this rug must feel under some tired momma toes. The only thing I am lacking is about 50 old, white t-shirts, and 60 hours of spare time. A girl can dream though. Someday…

2.) Brown Paper Flooring
I absolutely love these floors, and have been ogling them for some time. You can find a great tutorial on how to do this in your own home at Lovely Crafty Home. This is such a creative and economical flooring solution. I love the warm, worn, old-world feel to this. I am tempted to put this in my own home, aside from the time commitment. It definitely gets me thinking and dreaming though.

3.) Stenciled Ceiling
If you have not stopped by Not JUST a Housewife’s site before, stop what you are doing now and GO. Stacy has the most amazing projects. Her stenciled ceiling is just plain amazing. I would need a million hours to do this in our home, especially because we have textured ceilings. I can’t even imagine the headache involved with taking the texture down and prepping it for this paint job. For now, I will just admire her handiwork.

4.) Painted Formica Countertops
Yes, you heard me. PAINTED! Sounds awful and cheesy, doesn’t it? Oh contraire. Check out this amazing and thorough tutorial at General Splendour. (The before and after pictures were enough to convince me.) Tracy did a great job, and it makes me really, really want to do this on our brown-almost-peach formica. I am so tempted…
